...I learnt from Enders Game

Orson Scott Card's Enders Game

Ender's game is a children's story for all ages, it's a story of ruthless manipulation, necessary evils and playing a game. To win.

  • There is a difference between a child's game and a childish game. Which is which may not always be clear at the time.
  • If you are only ever going to win one fight then make sure that it is both the first and the last one.
  • The enemy's gate is down.
  • When two groups meet, if communication is impossible then conflict is inevitable.
  • People will always try to apply familiar rules and approaches to unfamiliar situations, the person who adapts fastest and discards the old habits first will be at an advantage.
  • Your enemy is your only true teacher.
  • Names and reputations are far more important than minor details like the facts.
